soundindustry Comments on Other's Remixes
very powerful arrangement0.
congrats!
the music box is a sweet idea for this track.
the melody flavors it in a kind of chinese way.
funny!
interesting version. sounds handmade in some parts (which i like!).
to some chords my ears need to get used to, but nice anyway.
powerful stuff, well done!
fine work.
a fine way to get rid of a creative block.
nice stuff!
ooops, that is great.
congratulations on this remix.
great version!
not my cup of tea, but very solid work anyway!
lovely version.
sweet sounds.
i like the minimalism in your arrangement.
although a chord change here and there would make it more interesting for my ears.
well done, i like that piece.
interesting way to look at a classic.
you bring a complete new flavour to it.
very nice version.
80th style somehow.
i like it a lot!
very lovely version.
interesting groove and feeling.
liked it a lot !
lovely version, really funny, i like that!
great version, interesting ideas, cool chords.
*****
one can hear the fun you had in doing this.
and that is really a huge compliment!
hope to hear more from you soon.
interesting atmosphere in this mix.
nice stuff !
hi pedro, so youre dream is fulfilled: welcome to this community.
and congratulations on a very lovely version.
i hear a lot of fine crafted elements and one can hear the sobriety you put in this work.
looking forward to your further remixes!
very inventive version.
interesting musical elements and a good feel through the whole track.
somehow sounds like the 80ies for my ears.
i think this is because of the synth-pulse-bass.
i like that.
and, by the way: it is never too late for a cool new version, as you proved!
experimental, but not bad.
great to find other symphonic-sound-freaks on this page.
you´ve done a very great version here!!
*****
great, i like it a lot!
nice version.
ah yes, and congratulations from me.
nicely done.
i hope you get the airplay you desire
very fresh ideas.
groovy!
a live remix.
that is really funny.
a real cool version. like it a lot.
the 7/8 thing is a great idea.
but i am honest: i liked your "jazzy games" version much more.
is **** allright?
i like this piece for its relaxed atmosphere and fresh ideas.
the sound is very well crafted.
keep up the work!
very impressive.
thank you for sharing this with us.
very cool groove.
and many fresh ideas in it too.
a very interesting arrangement.
you made something really new of the material.
great.
*****
great stuff. i like it a lot.
congratulations to this remix.
very fresh ideas, very inventive.
i had a lot of fun listening to it.
wow, a surprising version.
great work.!
i really enjoyed listening to yor remix.
a bit crazy sometimes (which is great) and very well crafted.
very cool version, great work!
*****
a great version. i like the guitar work.
very nice version. i like that a lot!
i like the way you deal with the tempo by using a halftime beat in parts.
nice version.
lovely version.
80s forever !!!!
very nice version. i like it a lot.
as already mentioned: that synth at the beginning is simply too loud.
and yes, some variation would be nice.
pick the material and keep on working on it.
the ideas are fine and a great version may grow from it.
***
sweet stuff, i like that.
*****
wow, a complete new look on that track.
well done!!!
there are some nice ideas in it, but i think you should work a bit more on it.
for me the bass needs variations in the first part.
the timing of the tempo-changed vocals doesn´t seem to fit always.
check the balances of your mix.
for my ears the bass is a bit too loud and the vocals are not loud enough.
it is not meant personal as i think honest criticism is ok for you?
great arrangement!
reduced to the maximum.
*****
great.
love the guitars and scratches.
*****
very lovely version.
the bass seems to be a bit to loud on my speakers, but maybe that is what you wanted it to sound?
nice to hear some new "never let go"-remixes, anyway.
nice attempt. but keep on working on it, really!
very cool stuff, one of the best so far for my ears.
*****
wow, that is awesome, really.
great arrangement, great sound.
a big five and straight to my favs.
very great version.
i like it a lot for its calm and powerful atmosphere.
*****
i think it is electrofolkypunkfunkclassic.
or the other way round?
a bit more variation would be fine.
nice, anyway.
creative, inventive and really fresh.
straight to my favs!
*****
i like it!
sweet
a real lovely version. soft and smooth.
great idea!
the guitar theme and string elements give it a movie-like feeling which is real cool!
congratualtions on this one!
very energetic, very well balanced.
like it a lot.
*****
powerful and smooth at the same time.
very great work.
*****
that´s a real great remix.
i am looking forward to what you will present us when you have more time one day.
*****
very groovy. i like that a lot!!!
*****
very cool one.
i like that pulse you create with the beat!
*****
nice idea. the tempo is funny somehow.
one can hear the fun you had doing this version.
great one !!
very cool version.
congratulations on this.
like already mentioned by others:
great groove!
*****
frank zappa meets yann tiersen or something like that
funny!
a bit late (have been offline for a week) but also from me:
congratulations on your huge remix.
i hope you have a great time in amsterdam.
and please let us know about it!
very great version: groovy and stylish, a nice feel.
the vocals could have a little more volume, the bass is a bit too much for my ears.
the beat is funny, somehow.
the vocals need more exposure, check the balances!
the arrangement is quite nice.
great to have you here, keep on remixing!!
nice attempt.
hi curry,
i like each of your setal-remixes.
but the Tribal Hypnotica is the best for my ears.
very groovy !!
i like the ska-ish brass elements.
the mix could be a bit more to the point: you should check the balances.
but fine work anyway.
nice groove and nice ideas.
harmonically it sounds a bit strange in some parts.
nice version.
not so much inventive but quite good.
i like it.
i agree with what was said before:
nice and neat but a bit too close to the original for me, sorry.
anyway a solid work, not so inventive but done with respect for the artist.
great to have you here on RWR.
fine that you are back, by the way.
a fine one.
film-soundtrack-like.
"Once Upon a Time in the West" meets Deep Purple.
Great!!
funny ideas, nice version.
the vocals are a bit to loud for my ears, though.
but great, anyway.
i can hear the fun you had doing this version.
i like hat!
lovely and sweet. like it a lot!!
you´ve done a very lovely version of that song.
i like the calmness that is very powerful, though.
great first attempt!
very inventive, very imaginative, very groovy.
cool brass arrangement
*****
funny, very well done.
we forgive you
nice, anyway.
ah, another remixer working on orchestral arrangements!
great version!
very creative.
you seem to be hard-working, don´t you?
its one of my favs!!!!
lovely version !!
and funny, too.
on my monitors the bassdrum is a bit too much.
but lovely version, anyway.
i agree with studioalpha.
the beat is too loud.
and its quite grooooovy!!!
nice and neat version.
nice idea.
but work on the mix to fresh it uo a bit.
the beatbox is to loud for my ears.
and the shaker seems not always to be rhythmically in time.
i can see you on stage with daby singing.
great version, congratulations.
very imaginative version.
a little odd also, in a positive sense.
great stuff!
very nice. lovely version.
*****
a quite meditative version.
i like the idea of it.
the mix could be more balanced in some elements, sorry.
lovely version.
one can feel your respect for artist and song but it is still an independent attempt. congratulation on this mix!
*****
check the balances in your mix.
the guitar at the beginning seems too loud for my ears.
but nice idea, though.
yeah, PG goes disco, a funny and original version.
some percussions seem a bit too loud in the mix.
i like the calmer parts with reduced rhythms as a contrast to the disco beat.
interesting like all of your remixes of that piece.
i like the idea of this kind of dark interpretation.
rhythmically i think not everything is in time, sorry.
congratulations on this version.
the guitar work is great as others wrote before me.
i especially like how you work with tension: building it up and down again.
the pitched voice is funny.
fine stuff, i like it a lot.
interesting contrasts.
nice and neat version.
i like it.
very good work, lots of fine manufactured details.
it is fun to listen to.
Sehr schöne Atmosphäre in Deiner Version.
Toll gemacht!
great stuff.
the opposite of usual.
it really great!
you invented a strong and positive atmosphere with this version.
the slowing down creates some strange artefacts which is funny.
fine one
****
the ideas are nice.
you should work a bit on the mix in my opinion.
the balance between some of the instrument is not perfect to my ears.
some EQing might be enough to make it perfect.
lovely version, calm and powerful at the same time.
you did it just for fun and i can tell you it is fun listening to.
i am always surprised to listen to a version that completely differs from the others i hear on this great page.
congratulations on a very creative version.
strong version and also strange somehow.
i like that.
very well arranged.
retro style - thats how i like it!!
great version
great arrangement, very strong version.
for my ears you should check the balances in some parts.
very powerful version.
solid and strong!
i like this very much.
great organ arrangement. love the groovy chords you play here.
very straight to the point.
a real fine version.
nice one
it makes sense, very solid work.
like it a lot
very groovy.
are this samples or did you play the percussion?
fine work anyway
you did that even withou a keyboard??
thata really incredible.
like it a lot!!
very contemplative version. great work!
the style you created somehow reminds me of 80th bands like new order.
the vocals need a bit more exposure in the mix (in parts).
hi aerosiphon, and welcome to realworldremixed.
i like the idea and the style you created, very relaxed atmosphere.
for my ears you should check the balance between vocals and instruments in some parts.
hope to hear more from you soon.
a fine version, well done.
i like the reduction of drums in the whistling part.
interesting how you deviate from the original chord changes sometimes.
great guitar and organ dialogue in the final part.
lovely version.
the guitar and piano give a special colour to it, that i like very much.
great climax at the end.
*****
not the kind of stylei prefer but very well done anyway!
congratulations on a very groovy remix.
nice and neat.
i would call it a bread and butter remix.
not very spectacular but not bad either.
there are things in it i like a lot and some that are not so much of my taste.
but fine work, anyway.
this therapy works, as far as i am concerned.
i already feel better.
hi filippo,
thank you for commenting my remix.
i also liked your version a lot.
stay tuned and keep on remixing!!
it´s lovely. very good done
*****
i like the idea of your version.
a remarkable mix of musical styles.
a bit strange somehow but very well done.
it is fun to listen to.
*****
cool.
the pitched acoustic guitar at the end is funny.
the idea is fine.
i like the beatbox at the beginning.
yes and the chords don´t fit always.
fresh ideas, interesting sounds.
the vocals are not always in time.
nice though.
the intro has a nice pulse in it.
i like it, esecially the intro part.
thats quite cool, sir.
interesting chord progression.
and the Knight Rider- comment fits.
i like it.
dark atmosphere.
the fuzzy guitar is funny though.
very cool stuff, Mr Wecker.
the way arrange guitar and sequencer-sounds is very much to the point (excuse my bad english)
very lovely done.
smooth but strong
*****
that´s really a cool version.
congratulations!
lovely version.
i like the tension you create with the breaks in the drumtrack.
the vocals are not always in time to 100% (especially in the second half).
fine work, anyway.
great version.
i like a lot of the ideas you created from the sample sources.
a very personal kind to look at that song, too.
your hard work was worth it.
a real great piece of music!!
that´s a fine one, even with open eyes!
spacy somehow.
the trumpet lines are funny.
why not do something bizarre?
that´s a fine one.
got to listen to the "original" mix.
maybe no specific agenda but a lot of fresh ideas.
i like it.
please let me know what kind of mushrooms you used.
not knowing the original is quite cool.
so you worked on it without prejudices.
fine stuff, well done.
the drum-work is what i like about this mix too!
good work.
you keep the tension through the whole piece by working with more silent parts as well as using interesting rhytmical structures.
the reggae-esk guitars leading to more funky licks are very well arranged.
all in all a good piece of work!
interesting mixture of styles.
like the percussion work a lot!
****
reminds me a bit of my version of that track.
don´t know why but i think it is the groove.
good work!
good work, my friend.
it is minimalistic, so why not let it go a bit crazy.
the levels could be worked out a bit more, that´s right.
anyway - i like it!
there´s a good flow in your version, deeply touching moves and it is very stylish.
great work!!!
that´s fine. smooth and strong mood.
i like it.
you created something really new from the Joi tracks.
I think that is what remixing is meant to be.
great work.
*****
wow LS, that´s great. really GROOVY.
*****
great trip to the stars.
once again a fine work from you, susy.
*****
when you don´t rehearse cello, you listen to prince, don´t you ?
it´s great, real funky, man.
bright and beautiful - music like a sunshine in the morning.
5/5
i agree with colab - outstanding rhythms.
and a real great development through the whole piece.
great work.
power, groove, feelings, atmosphere, surprises, ideas.
what else can one expect of a remix?
5/5
great remix. i had fun listening to it.
great brass arrangement. you really made the song turn into a party !
say hello to your wife and child from me.
interesting arrangement. i like it.
your version has a strong atmosphere and there are some nice ideas in it.
the intro is great.
grooves like hell !!!! 5/5
very powerful. nice stuff.
a strange change of tempo when the drums start.
but fine work anyway.
i especially like the way you arranged the vocals.
ooooooopps, that is great!!!
to answer your question: yes, you may have this dance!!!
5/5
pegasus, that is great.
you created something really new!
i´m deeply impressed by your version.
cool, really cool.
5/5
lovely. i like the smooth atmosphere in it.
great job!
not the kind of music i usually like to listen to but the way you worked it out convinced me.
very imaginative version.
Very cool version.
i don´t understand these comments on the hot picks.
your piece of work is very different from the lot on this page.
That alone makes it worth for the hot picks.
And its very well arranged by the way.
5/5
Oh, that´s great. You did a real funky job.
I like this kind of stuff, espacially the organ at the intro and the funky guitar.
susy, that´s lovely.
sweet melodies, great atmosphere.
i like it very much!
is that a smoothly distorted rhodes at the beginning? cooool.
i like your work.
i like the atmosphere of your mix.
very smooth and very strong either.
its fine.
i agree with maxwell.
a really fresh and inspired version.
youyou is right. the voice at the beginning reminds of a church-feeling somehow.
great version. one of my favourites.
yeah, do some more.
you are on the right track.
the beat somehow is "twisted" but has it´s one language.
i like it.
its lovely, really.
silent and powerful.
wow!
reduced to the maximum.
i like this.
wow! THAT´s what i call a different point of view.
5/5
this is fine.
you went straight onto my list of favourites.
great version.
very nice and smooth version.
i like the atmosphere.
interesting drum-programming.
oh, that´s a fine version.
congratulations to this mix.
nice work.
I like the change between the moving, rhythmical and the relaxed, smooth parts.
Great!
Wow, that´s great!!
Nice string arrangements, good flow.
Very strong version.
nice ideas in your version.
cool to put the spoken words by PG into the intro-part.
just two little "buts":
-the trombone-notes don´t always seem to fit to the chords (for my ears).
-try to tap the delay in the right bpm-timing. that will increase your delight for the overlayings.
hope to hear more from you soon!
very good groove. i like the arrangement and sound.
just a bit more changes in mood and tension would freshen the whole thing up. but great, anyway.
i agree with Rhinoceros.
strong parts and great ideas, but a bit less would be more for my ears.
good work.
the high note percussion groove brings a very nice flow.
respect. hope to hear more from you.
not exactly what i call mainstream but finally somebody who makes his own thing! you get 5/5 from me.
it´s great, keep on rockin´!!
the beat is simple but straight, reminds me of the heartbeat.
interesting mix of styles and sounds, especially the synth (around 2:00) is unexpected and brings a new colour.
i like it.
very powerful, very skillfull.
one of the best versions around here in my opinion.
you get 5/5 from me.
i like the way you work with the material.
the voice of PG sounds a bit strange on my monitors.
might come from turning down the tempo?
i agree with schräs.
and a bit less bass perhaps?
oh thats difficult.
i like the style, i like the mood, there are great ideas in your version.
but all in all it is a little bit to much for my ears.
maybe a bit less reversed phrases, a bit less delay?
wow this one is a pearl !!
your version touched me deeply.
i hope to hear more from you soon.
i agree with antares: work on it and you surely will make much more of it.
the ideas are good, really!
your son and daughter seem to have as much rhythmic feeling as you.
you three entered my personal charts.
very groovy. the verse part blows me away.
fantastic idea.
lovely.
cool! real cool.
put it on my fav list.
you bring a complete new feeling to this song.
like you wrote: it makes me laugh and cry at the same time.
great, how you slow the thing down and bring tension to it by this way.
great!
nice notes, too.
oh, that´s a lovely one.
i like the way you reduced the arrangement.
say hello to your daughter from me.
a real strong groove.
work a bit on the balances between vocals and instruments and it will be a perfect remix for me.
your version builds up a great atmosphere.
i like way you keep up a tension through the whole song.
one thing you maybe could change a little bit:
i would agree that the vocals are a bit to much in front.
a little more reverb, a little less volume, perhaps?
in some ways it reminds me of my version.
the idea of slowing the thing down by the beat and the use of the strings somehow is similiar.
very nice how you added the vocals.
you should work a bit on the mix,
the balance of volumes is not in all aspects that perfect.
great work anyway.
well after all i would say, you´ve learnt your lessonhttp://www.realworldremixed.com/smilies/smile.gif
i give you 4/5 because the vocals are not really in time.
but nice idea.
@all
thanks for listening to my remix and rating it,
thanks for your comments and honest opinions.
@Fien:D
@Rhinoceros
drawing out the"turn on the light"-section as long as possible was part of my concept.
i didn´t look at it as a verse in a classical sense but tried to bulid up and up a growing tension that finally finds a "redemption" in these lines.
but you´re right, it is not what one expects as a usual song-structure.
well, why not?
a complete own way to look at this song.
funny!
the only thing i don´t like is the sound of the snare.
the rest is great!!
your version has a fine, relaxed atmosphere.
the short breaks in the beat gives it interesting tension.
good work!
great idea to turn it into a "jazzy thing".
i coudn´t believe that the syncopation of the vocals works with such a groove.
but it really does!!
the sound is a bit strange and i don´t like the saxophone.
but great anyway.
i like it very much.
good ideas, nice parts but for me it sounds a bit too much confusing.

nice piece of work.
i like the reduced way you arranged it and the musical development over the whole track.
