Remixer Notes

I only used the lead vocals to transfer the song deliberately into some simple electronic almost dancefloor mix. The development of the melodic parts started out by playing along with the vocals.

Obviously quite a bit of work has gone into this. Human League and Depeche Mode meet PG. cheers

Hey,

I'm surprised to read two such great names in conjunction with my mix :-). I take this as a huge compliment. That's much more than I have expected.

For the curious:

The mix creation process involved nearly 4 hours at first, then about 30 test-listens (while walking through the forest) and some discussion with a friend. Another hour was spent to finish the mix.

It was the goal to produce a mix with repetetive synth elements which fits my own reception of future pop as an intermix of synthpop/techno/trance - a combination I don't expect to get a high rating in here. Doesn't matter.

Thanks for listening.

Why you don't expect a high rating?

Five points from me.

And this is not a gift. I like your remix.

I have too the digitalfishphones, they are very good.

Do you know that some mastering engineers use Spitfish like pre-deesser?

Thanks, wildnoise.

I'm glad you like my mix.

I feel that my mix is something you need to connect to. It's not a pure dance mix and it is also quite simple, musically. Somehow I think that this makes it difficult to connect to this mix. I may be wrong.

I have no insight into what mastering engineers use, so no, I didn't know. I tested the digialfishphones plugins after reading about them in a music mag. I instantly like them.

That's one epic mix. Thanks for posting :-)
