Remixer Notes

Although I love the Asian influences in the original (well, The Imagined Village version. I'm not quite old enough to have heard the original!) I decided to drop them in this mix in favour of trying to emphasise the rhythm section and vocals.

I attempted to create a feel of a "cold hailey rainy night" with a squishy beat.

I've got this saved as a "test mix" and it probably could do with some work, but I'm so crap at finishing stuff that if I don't post it now it'll never get on here!

Technical Information

I used Cubase SX3 and it is constructed using mostly just the samples provided. I moved the bassline a bit and used some distortion on it in parts. Sorry, it's been a while since I did it so I can't recall exactly what else I did.

Comments

You did well. Nice muddy rythm, scratched violin and rock guitar.
