played oboe - no sampler ;-) the shaman sound was played with yamaha FS1r, groove by reaktor and stylus rmx, strings: atmosphere and virus, bass sound: yamaha ex5r

Very nice quality work done here!! Outstanding work with harmony. Sort of a mellow remix for one to reflect upon. Is that really oboe? Almost sounds like trumpet to me at the end.

Love this mix. I wanted to make the whispered vocal part of a rhythm track but lacked the tools and skill to do it, so well done!! The whole piece really is beautiful. The vocals are even more powerful with the effects, and slow down (?) you've applied. The melodic elements are great. One of my favorite ACSS mixes on the site thus far.
Not an afro-celt sound rather than an arabic-oriental one. That for me is even better!

I have been listening to this mix for quite a while now after another mixer asked me to go listen to it.
You could argue that it is not contempory or the reverbs this or that but whatever.
This outdoes the orginal by miles for me. If anything i would have liked your Oboe playing as loud as the vox. If i was working for RW and looking to put a compilation CD of mixes off this site together for a commercial realease, then this would be on it.
