Remixer Notes
The Peter Gabriel's monkey made a trip to Persia (modern Iran), met new people and tried to understand a different culture; then came back home, enriched by new impressions and made this remix.
Sometimes animals are better than human beings .
Technical Information
The most relevant addition to the samplepack is the use of a KANUN - a persian instrument - that I sampled myself and then played with a keyboard.
It was a sort of surprise to me seeing the remix grow by itself day by day, and take a reggae character that was somehow hidden in the original track.

Nice one. At times i'm uncomfortable with the timing of the vocals, but it may be 'cause i'm oldfashioned.
I like the sound of that Kanun! Sounds good - weirdly enough I have been working on a more 'eastern' monkey but definatly don't have the advantage of that sound!!
My only gripe is the timing of the vocals too.thats the 4/4 in me!
I agree with the comments before me. If you want to sing along it is realy hard! (Good for you my singing stinks!) May be you could try in a new mix to get the vocals in 4/4. We/You can hear the difference.
By far my favorite remix I've heard so far.
Personally, i am into the p.Gabriel remixes that works my emotion and speaks to me. This does just that. I am not one for being overly critical about others music. The production is top notch. I like the off time lyrics. It makes Peter seem elusive and gives you the feel he is floting around you singing to you like a ghost. Sometimes here, sometimes there.
5 stars friend.
Wonderful remix! I also like the off time vocals. Gives it a special touch.
The first mix I've felt compelled to listen to in it's entirety. A masterpiece.
"Now I'm on my knees"
This is one of the better. It's very innovative by using the KANUN.I like that kind of remixes. It's more personal than all those over-electronized remixes. The only problem with this is that it's sometimes a little bit confusing. But, one of the better
Mesmerizing. But the changing rhythms are confusing indeed. Like the sequence around 2:40-2:50 mins very much. Still 4 out 5 for this odd surprise.
Cool vibe. Reminds me of an old Doors tune a bit. Totally different flavor with that Kanun in there. Nice!
Nice KANUN sound, It's very confortable for me
The sound of kanun creates a wonderful magic atmosphere.
Great.
5 stars
Your persian monkey makes sense, it's all about the concept.
