Remixer Notes

First things 1st - A very big THANK YOU to my good friend and wonderful musician/engineer/producer Brian Hamilton for his terrific guitar work and nursing me thru the mixing process on this one. It was by far my most ambitious project in terms of track count and his guidance was invaluable - Thank you Bud!

Love this song - Have heard so many terrific re-mixes of it on here. As happens so many times, it went places totally unexpected and that made it even more challenging and fun then I thought it would be - There is no better combination than that!

The effort is here - I hope you like it - Let me know

Technical Information

All the normal stuff

I am going to take some liberties, get on my soapbox and rant for a bit - sorry:

I have never been one to really complain about this but now I just can't help it. I know that the MP3 format allows us to distribute our music to more people and places than we ever could have before but can I just state how much I hate this compressed format. It makes everything sound sooo small and collapses the stereo field so badly that it almost makes all the love, care and attention to detail we put into these mixes useless. It wasn't until I heard what it did to this that it really hit me! I wish you could hear it correctly. I'm not saying that it would make you like it more or less but at least you could actually hear it!!

*****RANT OVER*** Sorry - Just had to get that off my chest :(

Comments

i like the mood, the mix, the chords, very relaxed.

maybe the eq settings of angelique voice is a bit harsh.

but great new listening to this track anyway!

Excellent arrangement and ideas flowing through. Keep up the great work! Sounds pretty well textured and perhaps this is why you are experiencing some technical questions for yourself. It sounds quite fine to me but I may have changed a few things dynamically at times. Often the two get confused at this point and a sound engineer might be better to advise here other than myself. Your music is very relaxing to listen to. Thank you!:-)

there´s a good flow in your version, deeply touching moves and it is very stylish.

great work!!!

I like the new dimension you gave.:-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Wail, I like the tone a this one. All murky and mysterious. And, yea, them guitars sound a little strained and loosey goosey but that adds rather than subtracts to the swirlin feel. Go on with yor bad self DK. Keep em comin, ol pal. :-)

Really good version - great work behind it.

I don't agree with your comment about MP3 compression though - in my experience you can save a 4:30 long track as 128kbps and still get a terrific sound.

I've found that as long as you create a very high-quality WAV file and then convert down to 128 when you create the MP3, the sound comes out just fine.

Anyway - sorry for the long note. Great track regardless.

Thanks you all for your great comments - It keeps me motivated

Colab - I will take note of your suggestions and certainly keep trying :-)
